Angelus with Pope Leo XIV.
Three public appearances by the Holy Father from Piazza della Libertà, during his summer residence at the Apostolic Palace. Free entry; the square fills up during the morning.
90th Peach Festival.
The town dresses up for a week of tradition, tastings, live music and a farmers' market. The peaches of Castel Gandolfo — intensely sweet, with yellow or white flesh — take the lead in desserts, cocktails and chefs' dishes.
Nine decades of history: the first edition was held in 1936. Today the festival draws tens of thousands of visitors on its busiest days. Free entry, stalls open from the afternoon until midnight.

Classical, sacred and jazz. The courtyard of the Apostolic Palace and the collegiate church of San Tommaso da Villanova host an outstanding summer programme.
